William "Bill' Thomas Wheeler , Jr., age 68, passed away on March 13, 2018. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6-8PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00AM at Carey Baptist Church in Carey, Texas with Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will be held in the Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Bill and Norma were married on May 29, 1971. Bill was a devoted husband and father. Bill loved the simple things in life, fishing at the lake with his family, sitting in the sun drinking his coffee and spoiling his grandkids. He was a die hard NASCAR and Dallas Cowboy fan. He went to college in San Antonio for accounting.He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a dedicated employee for United Supermarkets for 41 years He is preceded in death by his parents-William and Christine Northcutt Wheeler, Sr., Brother-Troy Wheeler, Father-in-law-Homer Rhodes, Brother-in law-Billy Joe Rhodes He is survived by: Wife-Norma Wheeler of Childress, Tx Son-Bill Wheeler and Eva of Childress,Tx Daughter-Kristy Westmoreland and Justin of Childress, Tx 6 Grandchildren: Cassidy Wheeler, Caitlyn Wheeler, Rebekah Castillo, Joshua Castillo, Sarah Castillo,Kendalynn Wheeler all of Childress, Tx 2 sisters-Debora Dempsey of Smyrna, Tn, Pat Snider and Robert of Memphis, Tx Mother-in-law: Naomi Rhodes of Childress, Tx 3 sister-in-laws: Shirley Miller and Jim of Amarillo, Tx, Linda Culwell and Mike of Wayside, Tx, Diana Smiley and Rick of Weatherford, Tx Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews
