William "Bill" Mock, age 58, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Childress. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 14, 2014 in First Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Shoffner and Dr. Craig Darter officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Bill was born on January 24, 1956 in Childress to Charles and Mary Helen (White) Mock. A lifetime resident of Childress, he was a Class of 1974 graduate of Childress High School. He married Patty Atchley on June 20, 1975 in Childress. Bill enjoyed playing dominoes and golf. When the weather was nice, you could find him sitting on the back patio and drinking red wine. In recent years, he also loved making daily trips to the grocery store. He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed making people laugh and enjoy life. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the Childress Country Club and of Elks Lodge #1113.
