Obituary for William McKenzie III

William Edgar McKenzie, III, known as Billy or Red, succumbed to his illness on October 28, 2018 at the age of 53 with his mother and her best friend, Robert Pyles, by his side. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Ronnie Shoffner, officiating, and Freddie Stice, assisting.  A private burial will be held in Newlin, Texas.   Bill was born on November 21, 1964 in Grand Canyon, Arizona to William Edgar McKenzie, Jr. and Cheryl (Finch) McKenzie.  He loved motorcycles and his dog, Lucky.  Bill was a kind hearted person, never knew a stranger,  and would give the shirt off his back to help out others. His favorite pastime was to go dumpster diving. A lot of people had a hard time understanding him due to him being bi-polar. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewel and Milton Finch The family wants to thank all the hospice nurses, Dr. Pratt, Dr. Darter, Lauren Pratt and CRMC nurses and kitchen staff for all their help during Bill's stay at the hospital.  They all have their deepest gratitude. He is survived by his Mother, Cheryl McKenzie Uncle- Jim Finch and Wife Flo 2 Cousin- Rick Finch and Mike Finch Numerous cousins.
