Obituary for Wanda Holtzclaw
Wanda Gayle (Poole) Holtzclaw age 71, passed away on October 19, 2018 in Skellytown, TX.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00PM in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Chase Finch officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Childress Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October, 23, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home.
Gayle was born on March 21, 1947 in Quanah, TX to Homer Charles Poole and Cordelia Mahan Poole. She loved to shop and she lived life her way.
She was a nurse since 1972. Her passion brought her a long career in nursing, in which she served as Director of Nursing at both, Turner Nursing Home and Childress Healthcare Center before retiring as a VA Rehab Nurse. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her patients.
Gayle adored all things young including puppies and children. Her grandchildren were her world. She and her grandson, Justin shared a special bond. She didn’t have to speak a word, yet he knew what she needed. She also held a special bond with her great granddaughter, Abby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Holtzclaw and one daughter, Donna Kay Laverne Marsh.
She is survived by:
