Virginia Butler, 86, died Monday, September 16,2013 in Childress. A private family service will be held at a later date. Virginia was born November 4, 1926 in Memphis TN to Garner and Katherine McCarter. She was formerly married to Dr. Robert Butler, and they moved to Childress in 1952. Virginia was a long-time employee of Gibsons Discount Center, Fox Clinic and TDCJ-Roach Unit. She was an avid square dancer and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; Garner and Katherine McCarter, a brother Dr. Garner McCarter, Jr. and a grandson Taylor Inman. Survivors include: Daughter Gina Inman and husband John of Childress Son Brent Butler of Lubbock Daughter Lisa Thomson and husband Mike of San Angelo Grandchildren: Kara Duke of Burkburnett, Megan Carroll of San Angelo, Lindsey Inman of Carrollton. Great Grandchildren: Easton and Gage Duke, Walker and Wyatt Carroll, Parker Hagen
