Obituary for Victor Ruiz
Funeral mass for Victor S. Ruiz, 47, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father John Sudhakar Sangabathini officiating. Burial will follow in Tell Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
He passed away December 2, 2021 in Amarillo.
He was born August 31, 1974 to Guadalupe Ruiz and Maria Lemos Ruiz in Stamford, Texas.
He loved sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and sitting outside barbecuing while watching his cat. He also loved Tejano music and enjoyed hosting people at his home. He loved to cook and was always willing to help anyone and didn’t expect anything in return. He was funny and outgoing and loved food, especially candy. He was a great father.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Sonia Vela of Amarillo; a son Victor Ruiz II of Childress; a daughter Aryanna Angelique Ruiz of Clovis, N.M.; a brother Cipriano Ruiz and wife, Priscilla, of Memphis; a sister Angelina Ruiz Jones and husband, Jason, of Amarillo; a brother Arthur Lee Trevino; nieces Gabriella Pickens, Samantha Ruiz, Emma Ruiz, Jailina Maria Jones, and Sabrina Leyann Ruiz; grandchildren Beckham Ramos and Ellie Ramos; stepdaughters Dayna Vela and Selena Garibaldi and six other brothers and sisters.
