Obituary for Veda Kay Greer
Sunday morning, December 11, 2022, Veda Allison Greer, loving mother of two, passed away at the age of 68 with both children at her side.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Veda had compassion for people and animals, the patience of a saint and the biggest heart to share. She was an encourager, supporter, giver and saw the best in everyone, especially those who may be struggling.
Veda was a comforter in times of mourning, a prayer warrior for many, and a cheerleader to those she loved. Her kindness came from her parents who always put others before themselves. Her children loved her most for her affectionate smile, love in her eyes and gentle, but loveable, hugs. During this Advent Season, we praise our Lord that He met her in Heaven and everything bruised and diseased in her body was transformed into lasting, forever goodness that matched her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Scottie Allison and a younger sister, Alicia.
She was a dedicated mother to son, Jarrod Greer and daughter, Marci Frost and husband, Jeff; proud Granny of Colton Frost and Bre’Anna Frost; sister to Althea Driver and husband, James, and Deanna Allison; she is also survived by special friends, Mary Ann Hickman and Monica Custer. Her passing is also mourned by nieces Allison and Cori; nephew Dan and numerous couins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations in her memory to Childress Meals on Wheels, Childress Methodist Church or any other Childress non-profit or other favorite charity.
