Obituary for Ty Joe Seal
Funeral services for Ty Joe Seal, 57, will be held at Tell Baptist Church on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Dennis Seal and Justin Stice officiating. Burial will follow in Tell Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 in Lubbock.
He was born April 8, 1964 in Hereford to David Leon and Gayle Wagoner Seal.
Ty knew the fine art of telling a good Joke. He loved visiting with family and friends. He would strike up a conversation with a fence post if it could talk back. He knew no strangers. Ty traveled all over the U.S. but fell in love with New York City, and they fell in love with him. He had a true passion for cooking and loved entertaining and cooking for family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, in his early years took pride in bringing in the trophy game, right up until he taught his son and he began bringing in the trophy game. Ty loved his children, grandkids, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He took such joy in teaching them all that he knew about playing cards, dominos, frog gigging, fishing, hunting and all things fun. He was his mommas favorite and Dennis, and Vickie had no problem with him being the favorite.
He was preceded in death by his father, David, daughter Kristen Hailey, brother-in-law, Rick Roop and ex-wife Nan King.
Survivors include his son, Joe Alan Seal and wife, Sydney of Lubbock; daughter, Megan and wife, Emily, of Tyler; his mother Gayle Wagoner Seal of Okarche, Okla.; a brother, Dennis Seal and wife, Kathy, of Plano; a sister, Vickie Roop of Okarche, Okla.; grandchildren Bla’az Bledsoe, Kwade Seal and Oakleigh Seal of Lubbock; nieces Katie Endres and husband, Michael, of Okarche, Okla. and Sadie and Samantha Seal of Austin; nephews Robert Roop and wife, Tiffany, of Piedmont, Okla. and Colton Seal and wife, Nikki, of Austin; great nieces and nephews Bryce, Lucy and Harrison Roop of Piedmont, Okla., Abbie, Wagoner and Andie Kate of Okarche, Okla. and Elliot Jean Seal of Austin.
