Troy Riddell, age 76, died Friday, May 03, 2013 in Childress. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 06, 2013 at Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating, Trey Morgan assisting, and Leo Schumpert officiating the committal. Burial will be in Cee Vee Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 05, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On August 8, 1936, Troy Arnold Riddell Jr. was born to Troy Arnold and Leona Doris Riddell in Quanah, Texas. Troy loved his family and friends, and they all knew it. He never forgot a name. He lived a life full of fun and adventure. One of his loves was flying and airplanes. Of course, he loved farming. Troy loved to travel and always had a plan for the "next trip," that being this summer in Colorado. Troy is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vana Tobias and Jeanene Johnston; and his first wife, Barbara. Survivors include: Wife - Charlotte Riddell; seven children, Stephen, Chad, Jeff, Gina, Lisa, Angie, and Thad; 16 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Charlene Smith; one brother-in-law, Charlie Johnston; brother-in-law, Sherman Stephens and wife Janice; sister-in-law, Laura Griffin and husband Johnny; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
