Tina Alvarez Ramos, age 73, passed away on August 19, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Childress. Burial will immediately follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Tina was born on November 9, 1943 in Kingsville, TX to Alejandro G. Alvarez and Aniceta (Reyes) Alvarez. Tina loved sports, but especially loved cheering for The Texas Rangers. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her roses. She loved to dance and appreciated music especially gospel. Tina had a caring heart, who loved to give to charities. She enjoyed meeting people and especially loved God. She loved, loved, loved. Tina is preceded in death by one brother; Sixto Alvarez and four sisters; Filomena De Leon, Manuela Lamb, Nancy Gonzalez and Ramona Daniels.
