Obituary for Thomas Miller

Thomas B. Miller, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church with Ronnie Shoffner officiating.  Private burial services for family will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Thomas was born on January 13, 1932 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Albert and Opal (Bradshaw) Miller.  He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the Childress VFW.

Thomas met the love of his life, Billie Joann Heath, and they married on December 10, 1952 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.  They spend 65 years in love and laughter.  He was totally devoted to his family, and took great pride in their successes.

A hard working man, Thomas worked very hard all of his life to provide for his family and taught them the value of earning your way.  His tractor was his best friend, likely because of the number of hours he spent on it.  He was also a friendly man, and if you were his friend you were a friend for life.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Opal Miller; and five brothers, Jim Miller, Pete Miller, Wilburn “PeeWee” Miller, Charlie Miller and Alton Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Joann Miller; three sons, Thomas A. Miller and wife, Debbie, David Miller, and Randy Miller and wife, Gaynell;  one daughter, Shirley Trosper and husband, Mike; one brother, Gene Miller; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Memorial donations may be made to Childress Meals on Wheels or We Can Care.
