Obituary for Teddie Goundie
Teddie Goundie, age 37, passed away on July 15, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Trinity Worship Center in Childress, Texas with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow in the Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Teddie was born on November 27, 1981 to Theodore and Delia Jacobs in Denver, Colorado. Teddie enjoyed working with her hands, doing things such as sewing. She was good at everything she did. Teddie enjoyed the time that she was able to spend hanging out with her friends, hiking and loved to go to the botanical gardens. She was her husband’s right hand. She was very patient and laid back. Teddie always put others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her father Theodore Jacobs.
Teddie is survived by her husband David Goundie; 2 daughters, Melissa McDearman and Lilac Satterfield; 3 sons, Matthew McDearman, Sean McDearman and Mikel Goundie; 3 brothers, Ted Jacobs, Danny Jacobs and Bill Jacobs; Brother-in-law Mikel Goundie and wife Glenda and Brother-in-law James Goundie and wife Karin; her mother, Delia Richards and husband Ronnie as well as numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hope Lodge in Lubbock, Texas or Colman B. Anthony Foundation.
