Obituary for Sherrill Creamer
Sherrill Sydney “Pop” Creamer, 95, died Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Midland. Graveside services will be on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Paducah, with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 5-7 p.m.
Sherrill Sydney Creamer was born on January 25, 1928, in Chalk, Texas. He married Georgia Ruth Biddy on April 3, 1953, in Quanah.
Sherrill served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Childress Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years. He was employed by the Texas Highway Department as a draftsman. Sherrill enjoyed woodworking and was usually found in his backyard shop.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Georgia Ruth, his parents, his sister, and his brother.
Surviving family members include: his daughter, Michelle Tobias and husband, Ray; grandson, Brandon Tobias and wife, Kathryn; grandson, Tyler Tobias and wife, Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Londyn, Eastyn, Cohen, and Emmy Tobias.
