Obituary for Ruth Cambern Richardson

Memorial services for Ruth Cambern Richardson, 85, will be held at a later date. She lost her battle with cancer and received her heavenly promotion on May 24, 2022.
Ruth Cambern was born July 25, 1936 in Borger to Walter Dewitt Cambern and Ruth Pauline Gourley. She was a proud Phillips Blackhawk, representing her high school in volleyball. She married Loyce Howard Richardson July 11, 1955. She held many positions throughout her life and made many friends along the way. She was a secretary to a General, worked for West Texas Utilities, became a realtor and was a secretary for an air traffic control tower. If you knew her, you loved her! She was a kind and loving person. Her grandkids and great grandkids all believed “they” were her favorite, she was gifted in individualizing each and every one’s needs.
She was an advocate to and for all that she knew and loved.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Loyce Howard Richardson; a son, John Mark Richardson and wife, Ronda, of Canyon; daughter Patricia Jane Richardson Sims and husband, Richard Sims of Wellington; daughter Donna Leigh Richardson Allard and husband, Chris Allard, of Arlington; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, including one on the way.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Mom’s passion was always children and we know that this would bring her joy.
