Ruth Ann Hibbs, 76, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in Childress. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Childress Cemetery with Lou Ellerbrook officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. She was born January 17, 1941 in Wilmington, Ohio to James Frances Duggins and Lucille Jane Hampton Duggins. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Hughes Bible Class, then to Pathfinders. She worked home health for several years. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her recent first great grandson. Her pasttimes were reading, bible study, working her flower beds and being outside. She also enjoyed embroidery, cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dale Hibbs; two brothers, Fred Duggins and Zeek Duggins; and two sisters, Betty Levitt and June Crow. Survivors include a son, John Dale Hibbs, Jr. and wife, Michell of Childress; a daughter, Tracie Casey and husband, Troy of Childress; eight brothers, James Duggins and wife, Judy of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Duggins and wife, Linda of Childress; Robert Duggins of New Vienna, Ohio; Richard Duggins and wife, Christina of Wilmington, Ohio; John Duggins of Wilmington, Ohio; Gary Duggins and wife, Mary of Wilmington, Ohio; Michael Duggins of Gladewater; Cheyenne Duggins and wife, Dee of Midland, Ohio; one sister, Melody Deboard and husband, Robert of New Vienna, Ohio; a grandson, Christopher Casey of Bryan; a granddaughter, Stephanie Casey of Hutchinson, Kansas; and a great grandson, Bentley Taylor Casey of Bryan.
