Ruby Dell Jones, age 95, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Childress. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 in First United Methodist Church with George Price officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Ruby Dell Jones was born on February 28, 1918 to Willaim Franklin and Emily Sue Hill in Tell, TX. Ruby was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Childress where she was a member of the Huges Bible Class and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed working in the church kitchen preparing for all the many different church functions. She was also a member of the Ladies Hospital Auxillary. Ruby and Robert were married for 66 years until the time of his passing in 2007. Ruby loved to garden, can, then share her goods with others. She also liked to cook and bake. Ruby truly loved to help people. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert G. Jones; two brothers. Cecil and Frank Hill; and one sister Florence Smith.
