Obituary for Rosa Hernandez Sanchez
Funeral services for Rosa Hernandez Sanchez, 75, are scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God with Paul Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
She passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Childress.
Rosa Hernandez was born December 16, 1946 in Waco to Manuel Hernandez and Frances Trinidad Hernandez. She spent many years as a caregiver. She loved cooking and feeding everyone. She enjoyed church and loved to be outside. She received joy from Christian music and loved her little dog, Isabella. She was a storyteller and loved for grandsons Mathew and Joe to read the Bible to her. Most of all, she loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her talks with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Osvaldo, a daughter, Michel, a brother, George Hernandez and a sister, Elisa Mary Lopez.
Survivors include four daughters, Janie Sanchez, Linda Gonzales and husband, Felix, Connie Gonzales and husband, Ismael, and Ellen Cano and husband, Lee Roy; a son, Osvaldo Sanchez and wife, Sandy; grandchildren Natasha Eason and Taylor, Mathew Sanchez and Nina, Kassandra Sanchez and Andrew, Christina Garza and Angel, Jose Rojas, Jr., Erica Rojas and Tyler, Joseph Gonzales and Savannah, Joshua Gonzales and Nicole, Jacob Gonzales and Daisy, Cara Cano and Stephen, Lee Roy Cano, Jr. and Hailee, Jordan Cano, Jasmine Torres, Elena Torres and Brian, Haley Sanchez and Alyssa and Trinity Sanchez; and 27 great grandchildren as well as numerous other family and friends.
