Obituary for Ronald Simpkins
Memorial services for Ronald Shane Simpkins, 46, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1 2020 at the Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 in Hedley.
He was born June 14, 1973 in Hobbs, N.M. to Ronald K. and Vonda Bayne Simpkins. He was a member of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club and he loved this club and his brothers in it. He also enjoyed carpentry. His daughters were his world and he cherished them. He loved to cook, loved his dogs and loved riding motorcycles. He loved to travel with Marsha. Green was his favorite color and he loved shoes, especially green. He loved getting tattoos and his famous saying was “I already know.”
He is preceded in death by his father Ronald Simpkins; a sister, Shannan Rose; grandparents Preston Bayne, Bennie Faye Bayne, Newton Simpkins and Hazel Simpkins and his father-in-law Norman Green.
Survivors include his wife Marsha Simpkins of Childress; a daughter, Helene Simpkins of Childress; a daughter, Kaydence Simpkins of Childress; his mother, Vonda Davis of Iowa Park; his stepfather, Rodney Davis of Iowa Park; a sister, Dana Simpkins of Paducah; a sister, Rayla Simpkins Higginbotham and husband, Flynt, of Denton; a brother, Matthew Simpkins of Lubbock; nephew Chancey Rose of Wichita Falls; nephew Joe Williams of Wichita Falls; nephew Jaxon Williams of Plainview; nephew Silas Williams of California; sister-in-law Kathy Wilks and husband, Rocky, of Memphis; niece Chloe Wilks of Memphis; niece Kaylee Wilks of Memphis; niece Ansley Simpkins of Lubbock; mother-in-law Janet Wilson and husband, John, of Childress; an uncle Brad Lang and aunt Tonda Lang of Graham; a cousin, Brayden Lang of Graham along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
