Obituary for Ricki Carroll Greer
Memorial services for Ricki Caroll Greer, 78, will be held Friday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church Chapel of Childress with Kerry Wood officiating.
She passed away June 21, 2023 in Burkburnett.
Ricki Caroll Turner was born July 19, 1944 in Childress to Jim and Verlene Atkinson Turner.
She loved to hunt and fish and was a big fan, and always in attendance, at her two boys’ sports growing up. She was married to the love of her life, Dan Greer, for over 50 years. He preceded her in death in 2017. Ricki and Dan were longtime active members of the First Baptist Church where they were heavily involved in the youth for many years. Together, they also worked many mission trips in south Texas and Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan, and a grandson, Seth Greer.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Dan Greer of Wichita Falls and Joe Greer and wife, Landie, of Henrietta; grandchildren Skyler Greer and wife, Carley, Maison Greer, and Grayson Greer; great grandsons McCoy Greer and Marhsall Greer; sisters Mary Risinger and husband, Vance, and Jill Wakefield and husband, James, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
