Graveside services for Ricarda Martinez, 92, will be held Tuesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. at Childress Cemetery with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, September 7 at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away September 5, 2020 in Childress.
She was born April 13, 1928 in Pearsall, Texas.
She loved to sew, loved her grandchildren, loved to dance, give advice and loved her coffee and good conversation with family. She also loved her outings with Israel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Martinez; father, Vicente Tovar; Margarita Martinez; Juana Fernandez; Jose Maria Martinez; Mike Martinez; Ricardo Martinez; Jesus “Chuy” Martinez;
She is survived by Maria Esquivel (Jesus); Eloisa Reyes; Gilda Modesto (Carlos); Martha Vitela (Ramiro); Joe Martinez (Eugenia); Bertha Martinez; Irene Martinez; Oscar Martinez; Isreal Martinez; Lupe Monjaras and Norma Martinez.
