Obituary for Raymond K. Love

Raymond K. Love, 86, died on April 5, 2021, in Childress, Texas.
Graveside services will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021with Dr. W.D Green will officiating. Burial follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at Childress Regional Hospital along with the Staff at CRMC Hospice for their care and support.
Raymond was born on November 24, 1934 in Childress, Texas, to parents Kelley and Annie Love. He lived all of his life in Childress, with the exception a brief few years where he moved to Westville, Okla. with his parents. He graduated from Westville High School in 1953 and on July 7, 1954 he married Katrinka Self and they moved to Childress.
His family and friends will always remember him as being a man who took his engineering and modification skills to the highest innovative level; along with being a social, quick-witted, humble, hard-working, selfless man.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kelley and Annie Love; two grandsons, Chance Evan Story, and Seth Chalk Guest; and his brother, Carl Edwin Love.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Katrinka of the home; two sons, Kelley (and wife Cynthia), and Richard (and wife Kimbra) all of Childress; and two daughters, Pam Story (and husband Greg) of Corpus Christi; and Carm Smith (and husband Mark) of Plano. Grandchildren: Joel Love (and wife April) of Bushland; Shaun Love; Larissa Detwiler (and husband Chad), and Justin Love, all of Childress; Shane Story (and wife Brandi) of Tuttle, Okla.; Nicholas Story (and wife Karen) of Crestview, Florida; Candace Watson (and husband Jerad) of Corpus Christi; Chasity McKee (and husband Dallas) of Frisco; Jeff Smith (and wife Lindsey) of Fort Worth; and Jennifer Robertson (and husband Alex) of Georgetown, Texas. Great Grandchildren: Kyle Love, Colton Boyett, Saydee Jo Detwiler (and fiancé’ Silas Finch), Tuck Detwiler, Kollin Love, Scarlet Love, Cash Story, Noah Wensel, Milleigh Watson, Lainey Watson, Olive Watson, Wells Watson, Stella Grace McKee, Sylvie McKee, and Violet Robertson.
He is also survived by a niece, La Von Carter of Midland, and a nephew, Victor Love of Georgetown, Texas.
