Randall Duane (Randy) Gressett, 58, of Amarillo Texas, passed away on October 12, 2013. He was born in Childress, Texas on July 17, 1955. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Childress, Texas. Bright colors will be worn to celebrate Randy's joy for life. After graduating high school Randy pursued various careers including working as a paramedic for Rural Metro Ambulance Service, a machinist with JM Huber, and an operator for Phillip’s Petroleum Company, all in Borger, Texas. Survivors include: His wife, Penny Gressett, of the home; Two daughters: Danielle Jones and her husband Donnie, of Temple, TX and Madison Gressett of College Station, TX; Three sons: Justin Hendricks and his wife Amber of Marshall, MO, Matthew Hendricks of Wichita Falls, TX and Aaron Procter and his wife Erica of Minden, LA.; Five granddaughters: Maggie, Hope, Emilee, Amelia & Reese; Two grandsons: Lochlan and Cayden; His brother, Jerry Gressett and his wife Ann of Childress, TX; Sister: Norma Johnston and her husband Bob of Eldorado, OK. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceeded in death by his Father, Bernard Gressett, his mother, Marie Gressett and two sisters, Gaynelle DeForest and Mary Janiece Gressett. After receiving a lifesaving organ transplant in 2006 Randy became an advocate for organ donation.
