Obituary for Phillip Heath

Phillip Lee Heath was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on April 8, 1939 to Alvin and Lola Heath. He went home to be with the Lord at the age of 80 in Lubbock on February 24, 2020 where he had resided for the past 20 years. He was one of eight children, and attended and finished high school in Baldwin Park, California.
A memorial service was held February 28, 2020 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at Childress Cemetery in Childress under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
He was a master carpenter by trade. He married and raised his family in California which includes his eldest son Bryan Lee and twin daughters Stacy Jean and Tracy Dean. He was a loving grandfather to one grandson, Ian Basil, and three granddaughters, Ashley, Amber and Carley. He was the proud great grandfather of two great grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lola Heath; a brother, Wayne; sister, Madonna; brother, Terry; and brother Jerry.
Survivors include his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Mike and Greg and one daughter-in-law, Cynthia; a sister, Joan and a brother, Rudy and wife, Linda both of Childress; a sister, Judy and husband, Dick Cross of Durant, Oklahoma along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Phillip brought the Christian faith to the entire Heath family including his children, brothers, sisters, mother, nieces and nephews. His life was one of devotion to his Lord and for love of God’s word. He gave to anyone in need and leaves a legacy of faith, hope and love.
