Penny Lynn Baldwin, age 42, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Chad King, Pastor, officiating and Kerry Wood assisting. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Penny was born on May 8, 1974 in Irving, Texas to Wayland Jordan, Sr. and Ruth (Lucky) Jordan. She and Walter Baldwin were married on November 16, 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Penny was a hard worker, and loved her job as Commissary Manager at TDCJ T.L. Roach Unit where she had been for many years. She was a great woman who was very loving and giving, and volunteered with the CHAMPS ministry at First Baptist Church where she was a member. She also loved to cook. Above all else, Penny was a great wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her family with everything she had. She preceded in death by her mother Ruth Jordan, a sister Karen Criswell, her grandmother Lucky, and a granddaughter Braylie Cooper. Survivors include her husband, Walter Baldwin of Childress; one daughter, Haley Session and husband, Lonnie of Childress; three sons, Blake Cooper, Broderick and Bryson Bladwin, all of Childress; three grandchildren, Aidn Session, Ayden Cooper and Londin Session, all of Childress; her father, Wayland Jordan, Sr. of Childress; one brother, Wayland Jordan, Jr. of Childress; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
