Obituary for Naomi Blake Rhodes
Funeral services for Naomi Blake Rhodes, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Trey Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away June 17, 2022 in Childress.
She was born April 18, 1932 in Tell to Pat Arthur Blake and Ollie Elizabeth Vowell Blake.
She spent her life as a factory worker as a seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of the Childress Church of Christ. She loved God and her family. She would do anything for her family. She loved to stand at the door as visiting family members left her house. She loved gardening and spending time in her yard. She loved to cook and her family loved her food. Chocolate pie was her specialty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Rhodes and a son, Billy Joe Rhodes.
Survivors include four daughters, Norma Wheeler of Childress, Shirley Miller and husband, Jimmie, of Amarillo, Linda Culwell and husband, Mike, of Wayside, Texas, and Diana Smiley and husband, Rick of Weatherford; two sons, James Rhodes and wife, Dedra, of Stillwater, Texas and Mark Rhodes, and wife, Dawn, of Childress along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
