Obituary for Mollie Sisco

Mollie Mae Sisco, age 99 1/2, of Beulah,ND and formerly of Kingwood, TX, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, ND. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Mollie was born on May 14, 1914 in Van Zandt County, TX to Elbert and Ada (Rascoe) Hill. She was raised and educated in the Childress, TX area. Mollie married Willie Sisco on June 1, 1935 in Texas, and out of that union two children were born, EW and Reba. The couple's early years of marriage were spent farming. Later, Mollie was employed in the Plains School District as a cook. In the mid-1970's, Mollie and Willie moved to Channelview, TX, where she continued working as a school cook. For nearly 30 years, she followed her love of cooking and serving others. Willie passed away on December 26, 1982, at which time Mollie moved to Porter, TX and retired from the school district. Upon her retirement, she began helping others by being an adopted granny. She lived out Luke 12:34 which says, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Granny's treasure was time spent with her family and adopted families. In 2009, Mollie moved to Beulah where she has since lived. Granny had a love for cooking, fishing, gardening and watching sports. She enjoyed watching all of her great-grandchildren's activities. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie; one daughter-in-law, Johnnie Sisco; one son-in-law, Jim Bailey; four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: Son, EW Sisco of Broaddus, TX; Daughter, Reba Heuchert, Hazen, ND; Grandchild - Sharon Sisco Grandchild - Gordon Trout and wife, Deidre Grandchild - Regina Ives and husband, Randy, Kingwood, TX Grandchild - Stacy Zuern and husband, Brad, Hazen, ND Two Sisters - Olivia Breedlove, Tyler, TX, and Edith Larivere of Oklahoma Numerous nieces and nephews.
