Milton Carl Wilks, age 80, passed away in Kansas on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6-8PM. Milton was born on May 1, 1937 to Robert "Burr" and Pearl "Pauline" Wilks. He and Fleta Jo "Jodie" Lorance married on May 27, 1959 in Goodlett, Texas. Milton worked at the Panhandle Compress, was a Railroad electrician, and drove the school bus in Childress. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jodie Wilks, brothers Fred, Bob, and Troy, and a step-daughter, Evelyn Smith. He is survived by; Son-Doug Wilks 2 Daughters-Pamela Yoder and husband, Ivan Pauletta Sloss and husband, Steve Step-Daughter - Teresa McBee and husband, Dwaine Brother - Claude Wilks 9 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren
