Michel (Sanchez) Rojas, age 46, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10 AM at First Assembly of God Church with Paul Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Michel was born on July 2, 1969 in San Juan, Texas to Osvaldo and Rosa (Hernandez) Sanchez. A hard worker, Michel taught her daughter the value of work. She was loyal and reliable, always there for anyone who needed her and always with a smile, and was an amazing and loyal friend to all. Michel had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to joke and played the best pranks. She also was a wonderful cook, and her hot sauce was the best around. She loved animals of all sorts, and many of them found a loving home with her. Above all else, she loved her family, especially her granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband Madic Rojas; one daughter Natasha Eason and husband, Taylor; siblings Janie Sanchez, Linda Gonzales and husband, Felix, Connie Gonzales and husband, Ismael, Ellen Cano and husband, Leeroy, and Osvaldo Sanchez, Jr. and wife, Sandy; mother Rosa Sanchez; granddaughters Emma and Ella Eason all of Childress; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
