Obituary for Mike "Freckles" Heckathorn
Memorial services for Mike “Freckles” Heckathorn, 74, will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Worship Center with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. He passed away March 1, 2022 in Childress.
He was born January 10, 1948 in Childress to Willis Wayne Heckathorn and Dena Faye Mills Heckathorn. He loved fishing, camping and being with family. He especially enjoyed loving on his animals but he was very ornery too. He loved to play the drums and he enjoyed giving his family something to keep them on their toes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives, Peggy Lee Heckathorn and Peggy Jean Heckathorn.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa M. Heckathorn, of Childress; a daughter, Faith M. Heckathorn of Childress; grandchildren, Michael K. Heckathorn, Ryan Z. Heckathorn and Cassandra Burris; a sister, Cathy Wimberly and great grandchildren Jennifer, Maycie, Aisley, Kendall, Lukas and Brinley.
