Merline Foster Litz Seal, age 77, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Childress. Services will be 2:00PM, Tuesday October 8, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lou Ellerbrook officiating . Burial will be in Cee Vee Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home Merline was born June 20, 1936 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Orda Vernon and Martha Blanche Hackney Foster. She attended Riverside County Schools in California. Her first husband, father to her two boys, Jack and Mike, died in the line of duty in Riverside, California in 1958. She remarried Carl V. Seal October 31, 1960, They then moved to Texas. Together they created a successful farming operation in Cee Vee, Texas. She was active in Easter Star, and served as U.S. Postmaster for the community of Cee Vee. For many years, she enjoyed square dancing and traveling with friends. She was an avid seamstress, a loving mother, and devoted Grandmother and Great Gram. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William Jackson Litz. She was given to us, but we must return her. It is hard. She was a beautiful woman and we were blessed to have her for our mother. She is at peace and takes leave of this world. With great memories and holding her husband and children's hands in hers, she leaves this mortal existence. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Litz. Survivors: Husband - Carl Seal, Cee Vee, TX Son - William Jackson and Janette Litz of Amarillo, Son - Michael Glen Litz, of Childress, Son - Clinton and Grace Seal of Camarillo, CA Daughter - Gail and Derek Erickson, Iowa Park, TX Sisters - Winnojean Crippin and Illa Foster of Oregon Brother - Jerry Foster, Mountain Home, AR Brothers - Don Foster, and William Foster, Banning, CA; Eight Grandchildren: William Jackson Litz 111 & Gwen Litz , Brianne and Steven Olguin, Mark and Nicholas Seal, Matt and Janay Litz, Quade Litz, Stevie and Cody Tomison; Four Great grandchildren, Brody and Steven Olguin, Kate and Sadie Litz.
