Services for Maxine Anglin will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Carey Baptist Church in Childress, Tx. After the family meal, burial will take place in the Groom Cemetery in Groom, Tx at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Childress, Tx. Maxine Anglin went to see her Heavenly Father about noon on August 11, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born in Groom, Texas to Walter Max Wade and Helen Virginia (Vassey) Wade. Maxine married James Anglin in Joseph A. Hill Memorial Chapel on the West Texas State College campus on January 26, 1957. They were married for 61 great years. She graduated from Amarillo College, she went to West Texas State, graduating with a BS and MED. She taught and coached in Dalhart and Dumas. She also taught in Canadian, Claude and Childress. She finished her career as curriculum director for Childress ISD. Maxine also taught as an adjunct professor for Clarendon College, teaching history and fine arts. She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Helen Wade, brother, Walter Vassey Wade. She is survived by her husband James Anglin, sisters Dr. Twila Wade and Kayla Cayer, children LTC Wade and Kelly Anglin, Quanna Anglin, Col Travis and Robin Anglin, grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Sarah, Alissa, Natalie and Max.
