Memorial services for Mary Alice Trones, 90, will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Terry Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Amarillo.
Mary Alice was born January 30, 1930 to Charlie Roland Corgill and Mittie Greenroyd Corgill.
She was a longtime substitute teach at Childress ISD and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Childress. She was a great homemaker, baker, artist. She loved arts and crafts and loved to crochet. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Trones and a sister, Betty Parrish.
Survivors include a daughter, Deana Trones of Dallas; a son, Finney Trones and wife, Marie, of Quanah; a granddaughter, Samantha Salazar and husband, Saul, of Childress; a grandson, Marcus Coey, of Quanah; a granddaughter, Marisa Coey, of Lubbock; and three great grandchildren.
Memorial may be made to Childress We Can Care or the First United Methodist Church of Childress.
