Mary Ellen Loury, 86, passed away on February 11, 2018.      Services will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11 AM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Childress with Brother Melvin Clinton, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Turkey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.      A visitation will begin at 10 AM and conclude immediately prior to the funeral service.      Mary Ellen was born on December 17, 1931 in Childress to Willard E. and Christine (Ashby) Williams. She began and finished school in Childress. She married the love of her life, Wayne Loury, on April 26, 1955 in Wellington, TX. She lived in Turkey since 1971 until moving to Abilene in 2017.      She was very involved in her community and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turkey. She loved her family and her afternoon coffee drinking friends. Her favorite pastimes were shopping, bragging about her family, and planting flowers in her yard.      She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Williams, and husband Wayne.      Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Allen Bolt of Abilene; granddaughter Courtney and husband, Carlos Serna of Abilene; grandson Clayton Bolt of Huntsville, TX; and great-grandson Caleb Serna of Abilene.      In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the charity of your choice and closest to your heart.
