Mary Elizabeth (Mink) Jones, age 95, passed away on September 1, 2016 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services have been set for 10:00am, Monday, September 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Childress with Rev. Chad King officiating.  Graveside services will immediately follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Mary was born on November 1, 1920 to Ted B. Mink Sr. and Iva Mae (Harris) Mink. Mary was a life-long member of The First Baptist Church of Childress.  She enjoyed painting and she was a member of the Brush and Pallet Club, as well as, the Hospital Auxiliary.  She loved to host and entertain friends and family in her home. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmo L. Jones; brother, Ted Mink Jr.; sister, Ruth Jackson; brother, Lloyd Ray Mink; sister-in-law, Peggy Mink and brother-in-law, Frank Jackson. Survivors include: Son – Chris Jones and wife, Redonna of Abilene, TX Grandson – Chad Lee Jones and wife, Kim of Georgetown, TX Granddaughter – Amy Suzanne Black and husband, Geb of Dupont, WA Great Grandchildren – Christina, Caden, Kyren and Keegan Jones of Georgetown, TX Great Grandchildren – Ryland, Hennasey and Corgan Black of Dupont, WA Brother – J. Mink and wife, Claudia of Electra, TX Nephew – Bobby Mink and wife, Connie of Iowa Park, TX Niece – Dana Ritter and husband, Bill of Odessa, TX Nephew – Ted Mink III and wife, Carla of Evergreen, CO Niece – Glenna Garcia and husband, Oscar of Childress, TX Niece – Lois Klapper of Lubbock, TX Niece – Betty Johnson of Lubbock, TX Numerous Great Nephews and Great Nieces.
