Obituary for Maria Dominguez-Ruiz
Funeral mass for Maria de Jesus Dominguez-Ruiz, 82, will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Nick Gerber officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away Friday, March 5, 2020 in Lubbock.
She was born November 1, 1937 to Faustino and Josefina Dominguez.
She loved having her family get together at her house and loved to make corn tortillas for them. She loved her grandchildren and loved to celebrate birthdays with her family. Her favorite flower was the red rose and she loved to go for walks. She married Nicholas Ruiz, Sr. on November 18, 1952 in San Felipe, GTO, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six children.
Survivors include her husband, Nicholas Ruiz, Sr.; a son, Miguel Ruiz; a son, Victor Ruiz and wife, Altagrasia; a daughter, Rosavio Villegas and husband, Felipe; a son, Juan Ruiz and wife, Maria; a son, Albino Ruiz; a son, Jesus Ruiz and wife, Maria Helen; a daughter, Esther Mendez and husband, Manuel; a son, Nicolas Ruiz and wife, Manuela; a daughter, Josefina Duran and husband, Juan; a brother Jose Dominguez and wife, Maria.
