Obituary for Margie "Timmons" Cook
Margie Faye (Timmons) Cook, age 84, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Memphis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan, Pastor, officiating and Zane Cruse, assisting. Burial will follow in Northfield Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Childress.
Margie was born on November 28, 1933 in Childress, TX to Eldridge “Pete” and Faye (Simpson) Timmons. She married Nevada Lee Cook on January 30, 1951 in Matador, TX. She was a member of the Childress Church of Christ.
She loved being a farmers wife, and loved to help her husband work their land. Above all else, she was a good and loving mother who loved her kids, grandkids, her church and the Lord.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and by three brothers, Don, Eddie Dale (Petesy), and Reese.
Margie is survived by a sister, Marie Cruse of Turkey; brother, Wayne Timmons and wife, Elaine of Holly, Michigan; two sons, Randy Cook and wife, Vicki of Childress, and Eddie and wife, Kim of Childress; six grandchildren, Clint Cook and wife, Sarah of Memphis, Kala Podea and husband, Val of Melissa, TX, Emily Barclay and husband, Kurt of Prairieville, LA, Cody Cook and wife, Sarah of Kingwood, TX, Shelby Bocanegra and husband, Sawyer, and Colton Cook, all of Childress; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or to the Westview Boy’s Home.
