Graveside services for Margaret Sue Cox Taylor, 80, will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah with Trey Morgan officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away February 21, 2021 in Childress.
Margaret Sue Cox was born October 2, 1940 in Paducah to Ovid Eland Cox, Jr. and Hazel Madolin Johnson. She was an amazing singer with some telling her she sounded like Patsy Cline. She was a nurse by trade and loved taking care of people. She was very good at it and served as a nurse in both Paducah and Childress. She was also a nanny and loved it. She was a nanny for the Bass family of Dallas at one time. She also loved to read.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Christopher Hendry and a great grandson, Trey Vasquez.
Survivors include a brother, Earl Bruce Cox; a sister, Judy Sunday; two sons, Donald Hendry and wife, Paula and Bruce Shane Hendry and wife, Lancy; two daughters, Helen Powell and husband, Douglas, and Crystal Taylor and husband, Chance Goodman; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
