Obituary for Margaret Carroll
Graveside services for Margaret Carroll, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Childress Cemetery with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Margaret went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2023. She was born January 21, 1948 in Childress to Lura and Frank Pyles. She attended Childress High School where she loved science and math.
She married James Alfred Carroll of Memphis on August 19, 1967 and they had two children, Jimmy and Susan. Margaret was a woman of great faith. She loved to read the bible and talk about God’s word and share her faith with everyone. She also enjoyed doing word searches and chocolate ice cream.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lura and Frank, and her husband, James. She is also preceded in death by her brother, George Pyles of Childress and her sister, Beverly DeFoor of Paducah as well as a niece and nephew.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Carroll of Muleshoe, her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Chris Matheson, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
