Marcelino Vela Jr., age 34, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Wichita Falls. Memorial services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 25, 2016 in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Father David Contreras officiating . Marcelino was born on August 6, 1981 in Perryton, Texas to Marcelino and Estella (Rodriguez) Vela. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. He was also a hard worker who enjoyed working in the open air, just like his father. Above all else, Marcelino was devoted to his children, whom he loved dearly, and family and friends were his priorities in life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cristobal and Corina Rodriguez and Arturo and Concepcion Vela, an uncle Juan Arturo Vela, and his God-Parents Presiliano and Sulema Galan.
