Mae Purl Garrett, 84, passed away May 4, 2017 in Midwest City, Okla. Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 in Childress Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at 2 p.m. before the graveside service. She was born June 23, 1932 in Paducah to Loyd Bradford and Dora Walker Bradford. She was a housewife and a Christian who never met a stranger and loved to fish. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Louis Garrett; a daughter, Dolares Ann Guajardo; brothers, Don, David and L.D. Bradford; sisters, Merlin Dean Bradford, Frances Martin and Dorothy Bradford. Survivors include three sons, Loyd Garrett and wife, Carmella of Levelland, Bobby Ray Garrett and wife, Audrey of Levelland and Douglas Lee Garrett and wife, Patty of San Antonio; a daughter, Betty Ann Lopez of Levelland; two sisters, Alice Fanning of Pink, Oklahoma and Mary Bradford McMinn of Childress and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
