Louise LaVerne Czewski, age 96, died Saturday, September 06, 2014 in Childress. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Childress with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial was in Childress Cemetery. Louise was born on October 19, 1917 in Quitman, TX to Grady and Nellie (Smith) Brown. She moved to Childress when she was five years old, and remained here the rest of her life. Louise attended school in Childress, graduating from Jr. High as Valedictorian and from Childress High School as Salutatorian in 1936. She and Woodrow Czewski were married in Altus, OK in 1937 and he passed away in 1990. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; her parents; one sister, Imogene Woods; one grandson, David Czewski; one granddaughter, Debra Czewski Stanford; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Childress We Can Care, Inc., 16070 FM 164, Childress, TX 79201. Worth, Trinity and Ethan and Ian Berube of Ft. Worth.
