Obituary for Lou West
Lou West, age 72, passed away in Childress, TX on December 6, 2019.
Services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel located in the Childress Cemetery. Randy Wilson will be officiating.
Lou was born on to J. Leamon Bourland and Juanita Mea Wheeler Bilbrey on November 9, 1947 in Childress, TX. She was raised in Childress. She met the love of her life, Jim in 2002. Jim called her, “His girl with the braid”. She and Jim were inseparable and were each other’s best friend. Lou was stubborn as all get out. She could not get a joke when told to her, but was a prankster at heart. She loved crafting. Anything she took on, she could do.
Lou is preceded in death by her parents, J. Leamon Bourland and Juanita Mae Wheeler Bourland.
She is she is survived by her husband, Jim West of Childress, TX; daughter, Letha Roe and husband, Charlie of Amarillo, TX; son, Jerry Baker and wife, Katie of Oklahoma; son, Daniel Baker and wife, Cim of Borger, TX; brother, Jerry Bourland of Shamrock, TX; brother, Donnie Bourland and wife, Cindy of Childress, TX; sister Ann Gray and huband, Danny of Colorado City, TX; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
