Obituary for Lois Moore

Lois Moore, age 79, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Childress. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2012 in Childress Church of Christ with Mr. Trey Morgan and Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Lois was born December 23 1932 in Farmersville, Texas to Raymond and Irene Kemp West. She was employed for 32 years with the Childress Independent School District as a cook in the elementary cafeteria, and at one time, she worked in the deli at Gibsons. Lois was known for her great sense of humor. She had great talent for baking, which she generously shared with her friends and neighbors, and also for her delicious fried chicken and chicken and dumplings. She was a fan of both the Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers. She held membership in Childress Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Irene West; husband, C.W. Daughter - Karen Cox and husband, Ian of Tamworth, Australia, Daughter - Kimbra Love and husband, Richard of Childress, Son - Kevin Moore and wife, Ericka of Childress, Three Brothers- R.J. West and wife, Audrey, David West and wife, Faye,and Tommy West, One Sister - Edith Proffitt and husband, Wayne, Fourteen GrandChildren - Casandra Cox, Marci Mills, Kristy and Roy Cox, Larissa Detwiler, Justin Love, Terry W.
