Obituary for Lois Eason

Lois Edwina Eason, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Childress. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel in Childress Cemetery with Dr. Craig Darter officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home. Lois was born on August 1, 1937 in Lamar County, Texas to Euel and Viola (Allen) Farris. She loved to color, play Bingo and games with her friends at the nursing home. She also enjoyed watching wrestling and was an avid Elvis fan. Above all else, she loved her family and friends and loved to spend time with them. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Euel Farris and Paul and Viola Phillips; sisters, Shirley Farris and Maurine Lundberg; and a son, Christopher Eason. Survivors include four daughters, Twila Crosby of Jacksonville, TX, Ty Lynn Barnett and husband, Neal Rollins of Childress, Kim Brown and husband, Mike of Crowell, and Christy Garcia and husband, James of Childress; three siblings, Bill Farris and wife, Glenda of Childress, Maurice Farris and wife, Linda of Quanah, and Paula Phillips Mansfield of Moore, OK; nine grandchildren, Carroll Crosby, Mandy Crosby, Beth Thomas, Shawn Brown, Brittany Kemp, Kimber Cunningham, Brennan Brown, Destiny Brown, and Christopher Garcia; eight great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaycee, Dalton, Breann, Rowdy, Abbott, Barrett, and Natalie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
