Obituary for Linda Moore Loter
Funeral services for Linda Moore Loter, 76, will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Worship Center with Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 in Childress.
Linda Moore was born April 1, 1946 to George Moore and Claudia Mae Maddox Moore in Childress. She was very hard headed and determined but had a huge heart. She lived a varied life with a lot of interesting jobs. The people closest to her called her “Big Granny. She couldn’t be beaten on the pool table and was a Jack of all trades. She learned how to work on trucks with her dad as a child.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Don Loter; her parents; her in-laws Thurman and Jaurene Loter; brothers George and Eddie Moore; sister Annie Moore; sister-in-law Patsy Wilson; brothers-in-law Delbert Wilson and Jerry Don Barlow.
Survivors include her Goddaughter Carla Dye and husband; Robert and grandsons Nolan and Ryan all of Vernon; stepdaughter Angela Zufelt and husband, Mike, of Anderson, South Carolina; step granddaughters Cassie Scroggins and husband, Chris, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cheri Stone and husband, Gene, of Anderson, South Carolina and Kimberly Bryant and husband, Josh, of Locus Grove, Georgia; step grandchildren Christopher Scroggins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, London Moore of South Carolina and Remy and Faelen Bryant of Locus Grove, Georgia; sister-in-law Carolyn Barlow of Wetumka, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to Linda’s newest granddaughter, Hailey Cariveau.
