Obituary for Larry D. Pirkle
Graveside services for Larry D. Pirkle, 75, will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Kress Cemetery with Rodney Watson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
He was born November 11, 1945 in Kress to Homer Monroe Pirkle and Glorice Campbell Pirkle.
His favorite hobby was water skiing and he was a world champ. He was a pivot salesman and he also enjoyed snow skiing, hunting, fishing with his family and raising quarter horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Pat Pirkle and a brother-in-law Jimmy “Bone” Durham.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Pirkle Jr. and wife, Heather, Brent Pirkle and wife, Jamie, Galan Pirkle and wife, Whitney, and Brett Pirkle and wife, Delaney; grandchildren Abagil. Pirkle, Clay Pirkle, Hope Pirkle, Brody Pirkle, Bailey Pirkle, Railey Pirkle, Brooke Pirkle, Marshall Pirkle, and Rhett Pirkle; a brother Richard Pirkle and wife, Doris; sisters Carolyn Durham, Mary Lou Armstrong and husband, Tommy and Ealine Prince and husband, Bill; and the mother of his boys, Janis Pirkle.
