Obituary for Kelly Foster
A Church Service for Kelly Ann (Thomas) Foster, 55, of Childress, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the First Baptist Church with Donnie Hancock and Mat Foster presiding with assistance from Dr. W D Green. Interment will follow at Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Kelly passed from this life on April 4, 2024 in Childress.
Kelly was born on April 19, 1968 to Elvis Lee Thomas and Jo Ellen Throne in Wellington, Texas. She married Mat Foster on April 18, 1989 in Childress. From this union they had four children; Chase, China, Joshua, and Kamille.
Kelly, or Nana as her family knew her by, had a very caring and loving heart. She loved her children, grandchildren and her siblings. She enjoyed reading, fishing, baking, thrift shopping, and spoiling her grand babies. She had a servants heart for others, always caring for those that needed her. Her calling was being a licensed vocational nurse. She was an amazing woman that will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years; Mat Foster, her children; Chase Foster and wife Kelsey, China Oldham and husband Matt, Joshua Foster and wife Hannah, and Kamille Burrows and husband Michael all of Childress, her sisters; Lisa Trosper of Childress, Debra Thomas of Childress, Mehgan Farris and husband David of Iowa Park, brothers; Jeff Thomas and wife Janie of Wellington, and Bryan Coyle of Wellington, brother-in-law; Mark Foster, and 7 grandchildren; Logan Oldham, Rileigh Foster, Neeley Oldham, Ben Oldham, Cayson “BoBo” Oldham, Slade Foster, Henleigh “Henry” Foster, and Britney Burrows.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Jodi Ray and Elvis Thomas, and her brother-in-law; Keith Trosper.
