Obituary for Julia de Rojas

Julia Ramirez de Rojas, 71, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in Childress. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Marco Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 6 p.m. at 911 Avenue E Sw. She was born September 7, 1945 in Augua Caliente, Mexico to Polo Ramirez and Marina Esparsa. She spent her working years as a cook in the restaurant industry. She loved to crochet, cooking tamales and taking care of her plants and roses. She was humble and soft hearted and helped people when she could. She was a very loving mother whose faith could move mountains. She loved to travel with the love of her life, she was very wise and a spiritual counselor. She also loved for her daughter to stay the night, holding garage sales and she made the best Spanish rice. She was always positive and had a servant’s heart who loved to serve others. She always had a huge smile when she saw her grandkids. She had a beautiful spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Antonio Ramirez, Elijo Ramirez and Manuel Ramirez and a great grandson, Paul Isaiah Garza, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Hermenegildo Rojas of Childress; son, Hermenegildo Rojas of Childress; daughter, Beatriz Rojas de Ramirez and husband, Gilberto; son, Raul Rojas and wife, Rosie of Childress; son Jose Rojas and wife, Susan of Childress; son David Rojas of Childress; son Rafael Rojas of Childress; and son, Enrique Rojas of Childress; grandchildren, Tosha Eason; Gilberto Jr., Guadalupe, Jesus Miguel and Vanessa Ramirez; John and Daniel Lopez, Adriana Rojas and Raul Rojas; Christina Garza, Jose Rojas, Jr., Erica Rojas, Brooke Esparsa, Morgan Esparsa; Adrian Rojas, Enrique Rojas, Jr., Caesar Rojas, Paul Esparsa; great grandchildren, Emma and Ella Eason; Leon, Evan, Emmalynn, Santiago and Alexia Ramirez; Anyial Esperanza Garza; A.J. Zuniga, Emery Rojas and Kynli Rojas; sisters Feliz Vasquez and Guadalupe Tello both of Mexico; brothers Pedro Ramirez of Childress and Lorenzo Ramirez of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.
