Obituary for Judy McKeever
Funeral services for Jude Faye McKeever, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan officiating and Don McFarland assisting. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away January 2, 2022 in Childress.
Judy Faye Gorley was born December 4, 1947 to Willie Gorley and Thelma Austin Gorley.
She loved to read and sew and crocheted blankets for her friends. The family agreed she enjoyed yelling at son, Ben. She loved her grandchildren and loved her church where she was a member for over 50 years at the Childress Church of Christ. She was a librarian at the Childress Public Library for numerous years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Gorley.
Survivors include a son, Ben McKeever and wife, Betty; a daughter, Karen Prentice and husband, Jackie; a son, Roy McKeever; a daughter, Penny McKeever; grandchildren Amanda Flemons, Crystal Hicks, Ben McKeever, Jr., April Cowell, Brandon Cowell, Marcus Prentice, Dustin Prentice, Caitlin McKeever, Tamra Zuniga and Tessa Zuniga; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Joyce McKeever and husband, Buford; Brenda Gorley, Linda Kay Gorley, Lawana Howard and husband, David; and brother Joe Gorley and wife, Tammy and numerous nieces and nephews.
