Obituary for Judy Ann Baker

Funeral services for Judy Ann Baker, 80, will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Craig Darter officiating. Burial will follow in Quail, Texas under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Wellington.
Judy was born January 27, 1941 to Richard Meadows and Bessie Searcy in Cushing, Oklahoma. She never met a stranger, loved to talk, and loved to be the center of attention. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a people person and she loved to collect everything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Malcolm “Maxie” Baker, a great grandchild Sophie Burrows, a sister Janie Meadows and a brother Richard Meadows.
Survivors include a son, Harold Baker and wife, Pam; a daughter, Mindy Gibbs; a daughter, Brenda Lewis; a sister, Vicky Edelman and husband, Lloyd; a brother, Wayne Meadows; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend/coffee drinker/poker player Jack Hanauer.
The family would like to thank Wellington Care Center and Kindred Hospice for their care.
